Shangri La | Sauna, Hot Tub, Cold Plunge, Trails

Absolute loved this place! Everything was above and beyond! The hosts are super responsive, and very helpful. The house is well stocked, and you will have everything for your stay. We enjoyed using the cold plunge tank, sauna, and hot tub. I've never stayed at a place that was beautifully landscaped. You can tell the owners put a lot of time and love into this property. There's so many places to sit and unwind, and find shade when you need it. There's walking trails right behind the property, and it's centrally located in the heart of Sedona. They also have every game you can think of to have fun with your family. We loved our 3 night stay, and would definitely recommend this place for your stay in Sedona

A few things stood out: the beds were all so comfortable, and the bathroom, kitchen, and outdoor areas were well stocked and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the gas fireplace on the porch, the quiet neighborhood, and how the owners left good instructions for how to use the amenities outside. The hot tub needed some quick maintenance, and the owner reached out proactively and the maintenance worker was efficient and there wasn’t any impact to our stay. Would recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

What can I say about David’s place? It is an adult fun camp packed with all the things that you would need to restore your body from hiking around Sedona. They were very responsive and very accommodating.

We just finished our Spring Break trip to Sedona and David’s AirBnB made the trip extra special for us. My kids loved the outdoor games, access to trails in our backyard, and the indoor air hockey games in the basement. I loved the infrared sauna, hot tub, long walks in the hilly neighborhood, and a fully stocked kitchen. There are also good restaurants and grocery stores just minutes away. I would definitely recommend this lovely home and I hope to be back!

We had an incredible stay here celebrating my wife’s birthday with a group of friends. From the moment we arrived, the place exceeded expectations. The home is beautifully set up, extremely comfortable, and truly feels like a home away from home. The location is perfect, close to everything Sedona has to offer while still feeling peaceful and private. The amenities really set this place apart. The jacuzzi, sauna, and cold plunge were absolutely amazing and made the whole experience feel like a private resort. The game room was also a huge hit and kept everyone entertained. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully prepared for guests. You can tell the hosts put a lot of care into making sure people have a great experience. All of us agreed we would 100% stay here again. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sedona, especially if you’re coming with a group.

Carynn and David’s Forest Shangri-La was a perfect location for our weekend visit to Sedona, couldn’t have asked for a better digs. Peaceful, comfortable, clean, and we loved the sauna, cold plunge, and hot tub for additional self care and renewal we all needed. The proximity to restaurants and local attractions was incredibly convenient! Highly recommend staying here and we’ve never had more responsive and lovely hosts!

We had a wonderful stay. Hosts were super responsive and provided great recommendations that enhanced our trip. The property itself was beautiful - part of a nice neighborhood yet backing into nature which gave it a secluded/private feel that we were really looking for. The game room in the basement was a huge hit with the kids. The collection of board and backyard games was second to none and came in super handy on rainy days. Overall, super nice place, in a great location to explore the area, and very attentive hosts.

We had a great stay at Caryn and David’s. The house was in a great location and we really enjoyed using the hot tub/spa at then end of a long day hiking. Would have loved to have been able to spend more than two days on site.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this Sedona home. The location is unbeatable, tucked right into the red rocks with gorgeous hiking trails just steps away. Every morning felt like waking up inside a postcard. Our family of five, three kids and my wife, enjoyed every single minute. There was truly something for everyone. After long hikes, the sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge circuit were the perfect way to unwind and recharge. It felt like having a private spa in the desert. The kids were equally obsessed with the game room. Skee-ball and air hockey led to nightly family tournaments and lots of laughter, which made the trip even more memorable. The home is beautifully set up, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed for families. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable Sedona experience.

I’m so glad we stayed here even though it was only available for 2 nights. The house itself was really well equipped and super clean. It was nice to have so much space and the kids loved all the games downstairs. The hot tub was great and we especially loved the trail access right out back! Even though it was a very busy time of year in Sedona, it felt so peaceful and serene at the house. We hope to come back someday for a longer stay!

I wish I could give this home 10 stars! We stayed for 4 nights with our family of 5 - it was absolutely perfect. Highlights are the backyard - the plunge tub was a fabulous way to start each day! The sauna - also fabulous. And the hot tub so wonderful, especially at night under the stars. There are so many sitting areas around the yard, and the hiking trails are right there! Inside the home is so warm and cozy, it truly felt like being in a home and not a random AirBnb. I loved the adobe fireplace!! So many nice touches. The beds were beyond comfortable, especially the pillows! The showers also wonderful. Lots of spices, syrup, coffee, etc. I can't say enough about the whole place and definitely recommend it to anyone. The hosts were extremely responsive and communicative. They offered many great recommendations. They allowed early check in! They checked in to be sure all was well. I can't think of any downsides at all and we would love to return someday! Thank you!!

What an amazing spot for our girls trip! The home was filled with thoughtful touches from cozy robes and slippers to a list of great local recommendations. The beds and furniture were incredibly comfortable, and there were plenty of extra blankets. The house and yard were so beautiful we could have spent our entire trip there without ever leaving. We enjoyed the hot tub, sauna, and even tried the cold plunge! The game room was perfect for air hockey and skeeball matches, as well as a movie night. With hiking trails right off the backyard, we ended our days gathered around the fire pit under the full moon and even saw a shooting star. (We charged your crystals for you, too!)

Wow!- what fantastic home in stunning Sedona. Forest Shangri-La is a beautiful house with the most fantastic, peaceful garden full of lots of different seating areas, hot tub, sauna, and cold plunge. The view was simply gorgeous and it was an added bonus that you could access hikes straight from the bottom of the garden. The house itself is truly sensational and spotlessly clean. It is very well equipped and has everything you could wish for. It is situated close to lots of good shops, restaurants and hikes. Carynn and David are amazing hosts- so helpful, knowledgeable and kind. They are very prompt in responding to questions and have great local ideas and top tips which are so useful. We were made to feel so welcome. We'd love to come back and highly, highly recommend Forest Shangri-La and its very efficient, supportive and caring hosts.

Absolutely stunning place! The location was perfect, close to everything but it felt secluded. The amenities are a real treat. The sauna / cold plunge / hot tub are like having your own personal spa in the backyard. There’s plenty of games as well as tons of trail to hike right from the back door. I would stay here again any time! The house itself was comfortable, clean, spacious, and had everything you could ever need. Loved this spot.

This AirBNB is a complete oasis! We highly recommend it! One of the nicest we have stayed at. The amenities are out of this world, it was decorated beautifully, our children loved the game room, and the bed were incredibly comfortable. Star gazing from the back deck and hot tub were amazing, being able to see the entire Milky Way was priceless. The hosts are kind, responsive and welcoming. Kitchen was excellently stocked. So much to do in the area (highly recommend the splash pad if you have kids)! If we could have given more than five stars we would have! Book this AirBNB now!

We had an amazing time in Sedona. This house was close to the main street but still in a quiet area. The house was great. with plenty of entertainment for the ones that stayed back while my husband and I hiked. I had questions about places to hike and David or Carynn replied right away. we will definitely rent this home again when we are back in Sadona next year.

The property is lovely and pristine clean. Lots of amenities. check in was very flexible. I also loved that check out was so easy. Very few things to do. Many places I've stayed have a long list of things to do. Not this one. A few quick things and they did the rest. Also the 11am check out was appreciated. Great communication from the hosts and tons of recommendations for places to eat and things to do or see. The spa was very clean and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Such a peaceful, lovely home.

This review is very hard for me to put into words. David has built something. I’ve never experienced in all my travels with Airbnb. He went above and beyond anything that listing can show!! While that listing is amazing. The house and the property is so much more than anything you see or read. It felt like more than a home away from home every square inch was well thought out very well executed extremely meticulous with detail! When they say they have a fully stocked kitchen, they mean it fully stocked like we cook we don’t eat out much and we had no problem at their house. Also, it was just my daughter and I traveling she likes to sleep in. She’s a teenager. I personally did not feel alone once I had plenty of wildlife and exploring to keep me busy right on the property Thank you is not even enough of a gesture or compliment. It’s not good enough in my opinion for this particular listing it goes above and beyond thank you! This will be the first place we rent multiple times!

Highly recommend this house! They are such a great host. We had easy checkin and instructions were clear. Backyard 110 out of 100. Very peaceful area. This house is very close to all the activities and has a super private backyard. Their house is very beautiful! We had a great time here. Host is quick to respond to any questions.
